Our Centre of Engineering partners with the Royal New Zealand Navy to provide complete engineering, maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the entire fleet. Reporting to the Engineering Team Lead this role will have you leading Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) for the Design Department in a timely and efficient manner.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Leading complex engineering change proposals within engineer’s area of expertise
- Produce detailed design/production drawings.
- Produce high quality engineering reports.
- Deliver outputs on time, flagging projects likely in breach of due date
- Collaborate with technical draftsman to produce electrical wiring diagrams
- Comply with all HSE policy, processes and procedures applicable to operations as well as statutory HSE legislation, regulations and codes of best practice

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have an engineering degree in the electrical/electronic discipline and have over five years’ industry experience of electrical power systems/electronics systems or communication systems. You have worked in a multi-disciplinary design office and have experience in the use of design standards and quality systems to achieve compliant engineering designs. Chartership with professional body, project management qualification and knowledge of marine class societies and design experience within the maritime industry desirable but not essential.
