**Regional Information Facilitator (Tokoroa)**
**Knowledge & Information Services Team**
**Part-Time, Permanent - 24 Hours per week**
Toi Ohomai delivers quality vocational education and training to both domestic and international students, across five main campuses in Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupō, Tokoroa and Whakatāne, and numerous delivery sites across the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato.
Toi Ohomai is now a division of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology and part of a transformational change unifying all 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics across Aotearoa; together with other work-based, provider-based and online learning. Collectively we will be NZ’s largest tertiary education provider with national and regional reach enabling learners and employers to move seamlessly between workplaces, other educational offerings and locations as their needs change.
The Regional Information Facilitator contributes to the learning journey and success of ākonga by providing generic digital support, learning platform assistance, library and other ākonga services assistance. The role holder is a member of the Knowledge and Information Services team.
This includes providing:
- Log-in and other first-level IT or generic learning platform (Moodle and Google for Education) support for ākonga
- Front desk query support
- Library support and connections
- Supporting ākonga events and activities
- Maintaining learning spaces
Knowledge and skills required for this position include:
- Level 5 qualification in a related area or be working towards this
- Ability to work with ākonga and kaimahi to meet their information needs
- Effective interpersonal and team-work skills
- Understanding of the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in education
- Excellent digital literacy and information literacy skills
Normal days and hours of work for this role will be Monday to Friday, 24 hours per week, hours each day may be negotiated. Some travel to other campus sites will occasionally be required.
