An opportunity has arisen for a seasoned postgraduate lecturer and programme coordinator in the field of Business and Computing to join our Hawke’s Bay Team. Reporting through to our Head of School Faculty of Commerce and Technology this role will lead with a strong focus on practical, hands-on education, to prepare their students for successful careers in a rapidly evolving workforce.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver high-quality lectures, workshops, and practical training sessions in Business and Computing
- Develop and update curriculum to align with industry standards and emerging trends.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their growth and skill development.
- Provide clearly defined learning objectives and learning outcomes.
- Effectively facilitate the learning process through a wide variety of experiences and activities by encouraging students to participate in and accept responsibility for their learning.
- Contribute to the academic delivery of postgraduate Business or Computing using contemporary teaching and assessment methodologies.
- Monitor your own performance and respond to learner feedback which leads to improved learner outcomes.
- Supervise learners completing L9 postgraduate projects
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching methodologies and resources.
- Undertake effective, valid and reliable evaluation of students and courses.
- Assess the performance of students and give appropriate feedback.
- Prepare and update appropriate curriculum for all courses in line with Academic Board requirements.
- Participate in the development of course materials.
- Participate in the ongoing development of new courses.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- PhD required
- Teaching or training experience is required.
- Programme co-ordination experience required.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
