We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Director to become an integral member of our Aviation team. This role is location agnostic and can be based at any of our offices whilst also providing a flexible hybrid working solution.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Provide technical leadership to the Aviation team and contribute towards delivery of quality project outcomes
- Coach and advise team members in project delivery activities and mentor team members to enhance their professional development
- Build GHD’s profile and develop a sustainable work pipeline in accordance with the business plan
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with industry networks and clients
- Establish strong relationships with internal clients
- Identify and pursue strategic prospects (e.g. through business development and capture planning)
- Identify emerging markets, services and opportunities and develop strategies and positioning to secure work

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the Aviation / Airport Airside Infrastructure Engineering consultancy sector, with a proven record of leading technical delivery of Aviation projects
- Formal qualifications in a relevant engineering or science discipline
- Demonstration of a high level of commercial awareness, encompassing both internal and external forces
- Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written
- Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge
