This role is based at our newly established Queenstown studio which will soon be moving to a larger premises. **THE TYPE OF TASKS YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE**:

- Designing new homes, alterations, additions, remedial works etc
- Preparing preliminary design drawings and documentation to identify the design and scope of work
- Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants on a daily basis as and when required
- Establishing design briefs, design task lists and timeframes
- Producing 3D imagery on rendering platforms - we will provide ArchiCAD training if required
- Visiting site and resolving issues or problem solving
- Directing the technical team and leading the project

**THE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES WE'LL BE LOOKING FOR INCLDUE**:

- 5+ years NZ experience
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills
- An eye for detail and a solid understanding of structural and weathertightness principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise and multi-task
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Knowledge/understanding of NZS:3604 and the NZ Building Code
- Passion for the industry and a drive for success
- Ability to liaise with clients, engineers, builders and council
