Reporting to the Business Group Leader and working closely with the Team Leader and the broader national team, we are seeking a strong, collaborative, technically focused Fire Protection Engineer to join our team.

GHD has offices across New Zealand, and we are flexible with the location of this role.

**The role**:

- Investigating, designing, and implementing a range of Fire Protection Services
- Developing new business, including preparation of proposals and bids for projects
- Providing technical input and leadership to projects.
- Managing a balance of leadership/mentoring, technical work, and project management tasks.
- Technical review of projects and ensuring Project QA guidance is followed.
- Clear and timely communication with our clients

**About you**:

- Degree qualified Engineer (BSc and/or MSc, MFE, CPEng) with 5+ years' relevant experience in a similar role.
- A deep understanding of the NZBC Fire engineering requirements
- The ability to manage multiple demands ensuring delivery of projects to the required quality, time and budget requirements.
- A strong communicator - both verbal and written.
- Flexible to work both autonomously and in diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving, time management and decision-making skills
- An eye for detail in the review of projects and deliverables
