We have an exciting opportunity for Fire Protection Engineer looking to develop their career by working on challenging projects within a supportive and fun team environment. You can expect to be involved in the design and delivery of healthcare, tertiary, and commercial projects.

You will have experience in:

- Design of automatic gaseous suppression systems, deluge systems, pre-action systems and water mist systems
- Using and designing systems to, the FM Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheets
- Design of data centres, storage facilities (including in rack sprinkler design) and process facilities
- Design of Extra High Hazard system design
- Fire detection and alarm system design including good working knowledge of relationships between fire detection and alarm systems and other building services’ systems
- Good understanding of fire and life safety cause and effect matrixes including facilitating demonstration of systems by contractors for witnessing and acceptance purposes
- Experience with construction monitoring of fire protection systems including working knowledge of best practice installation practices, review of contractor design drawings, equipment technical submittals etc.
- Good relationship with local New Zealand system certifiers

Successful applicants shall be able to demonstrate competency in some, or all, of the following:

- Design of automatic gaseous suppression systems, deluge systems, pre-action systems and water mist systems
