Wellington City, New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation Full time

**Who we are**:
Tā mātou nei whakakitenga, he waihanga I ngā honongo ahurei me ngā Tāngata kātoa o Aotearoa, kia ngāwari ake ngā wā e whara ai te tangata, hei whakapiki i tā rātou nei oranga. Our vision is to create a unique partnership with every New Zealander, improving their quality of life by minimising the incidence and impact of injury.

We recognise that Te Tiriti o Waitangi / The Treaty of Waitangi is a founding document of government in Aotearoa, New Zealand and established the country as a nation. We will partner with Māori to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi / The Treaty of Waitangi and commit to achieving equitable wellbeing outcomes for Māori.

Looking to the future, to an ambitious enterprise strategy and to changes in the world of work, it’s clear that what ACC needs from People and Culture is changing, and the Group is reorientating itself to deliver on these opportunities.

**About the role**:
With the pace of change in the evolution of work, technology advancement, population changes, trends in employee expectations and the shift of customer needs - we are looking to develop a living strategic workforce plan. This plan looks at the 2-8 year horizon and identifies how our organisation will look, the future capabilities we need, and our path to achieve this. The Principal Advisor (Strategic Workforce Planning) is a critical role in translating the evolution of our organisation to help inform some of the priorities we explore across the people strategy and develop our enterprise-wide workforce plan.

This role will build a thorough understanding of how the organisation works, understand our current state and future direction and work closely with business leaders to develop a plan to get there. Working across People & Culture this role will inform where and how we build new and emerging capabilities, focus our efforts on learning, recruit adaptable workforces and supplement critical or unique skills through partnerships. This will also provide insights into areas where we need long term focus - such as relationships with universities, communities and overseas markets to build long term returns as we prepare for the future.

While focused on our workforce - there is high interdependencies with the broader Health Sector and how this is influenced to support ACC’s long-term strategy and priorities; while also working across the public sector to understand demands and pressures we will face. Working with our strategic change engine, this role will understand the internal shifts being made to redesign the way we work, and how this changes the capabilities, locations and ways in which we work.

This role can be done remotely (based close to one of our main centres across the country)

**About you**:
We need someone with a systems-thinking mindset - who can understand how shifts in our strategy translate across an enterprise and the way work is done. Someone who understands the mechanics of a large organisation and can confidently advise senior leaders. This will include a lot of internal and external stakeholder engagement so someone who can communicate concisely.

You will need to be passionate about the future of work and the dynamics of our national employment market with an understanding of the implications of strategy to deliver the best results for ACC and the sector.

You will have:

- Comprehensive strategic planning experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical ability and systems-thinking

**Working at ACC**:
The base salary range for this role is $134,001 to $189,178 with starting salary depending on skills and experience of the successful applicant. ACC also offers additional 9% superannuation.

In addition to a competitive salary package we offer, career development, annual health checks and flu vaccination, discounts on Southern Cross health insurance, gym membership discounts and retail discounts.

Flexible working options:

- Potential to buy additional annual leave
- Work from home up to 3 days per week (we provide you with a laptop, headset, monitor, cables, mouse, and a keyboard to support this)
- Employee networks to support our colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- The option to explore flexible working that suits your needs and ours.
- Development opportunities in te reo Māori me ngā tikanga.
