The Occupational Therapy Service at Palmerston North Hospital has a
** full time permanent and part time (0.6FTE)** permanent vacancy for experienced
**NZ registered occupational therapists**.

These roles are based in the STAR (Treatment, Assessment & Rehabilitation) unit. The purpose of the roles in STAR is to provide quality occupational therapy assessment and interventions to clients in a rehabilitation setting.
- The positions would suit an
- **occupational**
**therapist with experience in rehabilitation.** Accreditation for wheelchair, postural management and basic housing modifications would be an advantage. Support and training will be provided to ensure you have the skills to carry out your role.
- We are looking for an occupational therapist who is:
- Enthusiastic, energetic, resilient, with a ‘can do' attitude
- Has eexperience and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to adapt and flex to trial new ways of working
- Strong desire to help clients and whānau achieve their goals
- Effective written, oral and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist, with a current practicing certificate
- Holds Enable NZ Accredited Assessor status, be Service Accredited or eligible to become accredited with appropriate training
- A full, current, driver's licence is essential
- Holds relevant residency status to work in New Zealand
