**The Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist, working in our Older Peoples Assessment & Liaison Service (OPAL), based within the Occupational Therapy Team at Palmerston North Hospital.

Primary responsibilities are providing quality occupational therapy services within a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team, to meets the needs of older persons with frailty in a dedicated inpatient unit. The OPAL unit also supports older adults who are experiencing delirium.

We are looking for an occupational therapist who is:

- Enthusiastic, energetic, resilient, with a ‘can do' attitude
- Has the ability to work effectively within a team
- New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist, with a current practicing certificate
- Has experience working with older adults
- Strong desire to help clients and whānau achieve their goals
- Effective written, oral and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Holds Enable NZ Accredited Assessor status, be Service Accredited or eligible to become accredited with appropriate training
- A full, current, driver's licence is essential
