We are looking for a passionate ASD Co-ordinator to join our wider Community Child Health team. Our Co-ordinators support the needs of children, young people, and their families/whanau along the Autistic Spectrum pathway. This involves gaining information from parents and education services thereby supporting Paediatric assessments then initial connection to the wider health, education and NGO organizations as appropriate for the child and whanau needs.
With a relevant qualifications your background will Include 3+ years’ experience in the Health, Disability or Education sector including direct with children and whanau work. You will be responsible for supporting the assessment and diagnostic pathway for children with suspected autism and supporting families through the pathway. You will ensure that the families of children diagnosed with autism receive information and are appropriately linked to services.
This is a chance to really grow, where your organisational skills will be recognised and utilised through coordination of inter-sectoral meetings, supporting the assessment and co-ordination process and supporting families during this period.
