We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant School Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the School Manager and an in direct report to Management Accountant. The Assistant School Manager will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations.

Start Date is expected to be May 2025 or as negotiated.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operational planning: Support the School Manager with reports, analysis and advice for resource planning in the school.
- Assist with Budgets: Monitor expenditure of the school OPEX budget.
- Research and Project financial management: Provide support to research activities in the school.
- Facilities and resources: Assistance to the School Manager in support of the school's facilities and resources.
- Staff Management:
**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification relevant to this role or equivalent tertiary experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in management of a medium to large organization.
- Ability to network and build relationships both within and external to AUT
- Understanding of budget principles and accounting procedures and policies.
- High understanding of operational demands supported by exceptional customer services focus
- An understanding of administration needs in tertiary education
