Te Manawa is the first, fully integrated community hub in Auckland. We offer library services, creative facilities, community programmes, a range of bookable spaces and resources and other customer services. Our aim is to empower, delight, inform and listen to our community.

This is a front-line role where no two days will be the same. You will be the welcoming face of Te Manawa, capably managing a range of transactions and enquiries about rates payments, dog registration, library collections, room bookings, equipment, programmes and activities. This is a physical role that supports the day-to-day operations of a busy library and multi-functional building. You will be part of the Operations team who strive to deliver exceptional service at all times.

Part of an energetic and proactive team, you are a keen team player with a flexible approach and an ability to use your initiative to assist customers and resolve problems. To be successful in this role you'll need to be calm under pressure, comfortable with change and confident using a range of technology and systems. You will need to be able to pick up new information quickly and have the natural ability to relate well with people of all ages and backgrounds. You will have face to face customer service experience and ideally an understanding of Council services and library operations.

We are looking for a permanent part-time role working minimum 24 hours per week. Te Manawa is open seven days a week so flexibility around working hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays is required.
