Due to the retirement of a team member, and the relocation of another, the friendly Duty Nurse Manager (DNM) team at Nelson Hospital is looking for senior RNs with a _can-do _attitude and the flexibility to adapt to a changing and dynamic clinical environment.

We have permanent positions available within the **0.5FTE **(40 hrs/fortnight) up to** 0.7FTE **(56 hrs/fortnight) range, working predominantly afternoon and night shifts and weekends as these are out of hours posts. _** Please indicate your preferred FTE via your covering letter.**_

The DNM team is responsible for the after-hours coordination of the Nelson Hospital site, at an operational level, with the delegated authority of the General Manager Clinical Services. The role works in close collaboration with DNM colleagues across the district, at the Wairau Hospital site, to maintain patient, staff and site safety.

The role has an emphasis on leadership of staff, patient safety and management of resources requiring you to be flexible and adaptable to meet changing service needs.

You will be an enthusiastic and visionary Senior Registered Nurse with advanced clinical knowledge and expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. You will have a minimum of five years recent post registration experience and with Proficient/Expert on PDRP or working towards Proficient/Expert.
