We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.
**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**
An opportunity exists for an experienced individual to join the Planned Care Services team at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty as the Medical Operational Coordinator. This is a newly established operational position which will provide district wide strategic planning and oversight function for the coordination of cardiology, outpatient, endoscopy, and perioperative services.
Highly developed communication and operational skills are vital for this integral position supporting the delivery of endoscopy and cardiology services. A key focus of this role will be to ensure a culture of Manaakitanga, and a pro-equity approach is at the forefront when engaging with our people.
Alongside having the opportunity to contribute positively to the provision of planned care services for the growing Bay of Plenty population (260,000), you will be committed to a whole of system approach and be supportive of our people and their whānau.
Proven experience as a people leader in a large complex organisation is required, experience in a health setting is desirable. The position reports to the Planned Care Services Manager.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 80 hours per fortnight at Tauranga Hospital.
