Our exceptional people see everything as an opportunity and are always striving to make more from milk. Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Advisor to join our busy team in Dunsandel.

The focus of this role is to guide and encourage farm suppliers to ensure good environmental practice and sustainability are key considerations within their business. Your ability to support suppliers to meet the sustainability objectives of the Lead With Pride program and assist them through to Lead With Pride Certification, will be key to your success.

You will conduct assessments of farming systems in relation to regulatory compliance and risk, keep up to date with audit requirements, and develop and maintain expert knowledge in new sustainable dairy practices. By working with internal Synlait staff, our farmers, and other external stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to utilise your excellent communication skills and make a difference

**Qualifications**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in either farm systems or environmental sustainability
- Preferred or working towards:

- Certified Nutrient Management Advisor
- Massey Short courses:

- Advanced Nutrient Management
- Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Emission and Management
- Farm Dairy Effluent: System Design and Management

**Skills / Experience required**
- Experience and understanding of relevant environmental legislation
- Proven understanding of Regulatory process
- Ability to interpret data, draw conclusions and provide appropriate commentary where required
- Sound analytical skills and knowledge of financial models
- Proven relationship building skills
- Strong capability in problem solving and decision making
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, coaching and mentoring skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and regularly meets deadlines in a multi-tasking environment
