As a Collection Solutions Officer, you will play a crucial role in minimising delinquent accounts through constructive collection actions. Reporting to the Collection Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for implementing effective follow-up systems while ensuring compliance and maintaining high-quality standards in accordance with Credit Union procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Negotiate with debtors for fair and satisfactory outcomes, demonstrating empathy when appropriate
- Liaise with external organisations for budget advice if necessary
- Collaborate with external bodies to recover outstanding accounts

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Ideally have previous experience in a Collections / Credit Control role
- Competence to understand and interpret relevant acts, policies, and procedures
- The expertise to solve problems in a timely manner, using reasoning even when dealing with emotional topics
- Resilience with the ability work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and be able to relate to a wide range of people
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Intermediate computer skills

Experience in working in a financial institution is an advantage, but not a requirement as full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
