**About this role**

You will provide educational assessment services and programme support for tauira in the delivery of our Home Based Learning programmes.

**Role details**:
**Title**: Kaitiaki - Home Based Learning

**Role**: Permanent - full time

**Location**: Mangakotukutuku Campus (Glenview, Hamilton)

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Days**: Monday - Friday

As a Kaitiaki - Home Based Learning, you will:

- Organise and conduct whanaungatanga visits for each new cohort of tauira.
- Confirm tauira enrolment within early withdrawal period(s) for each individual HBL programme.
- Develop, implement and review learning support and pastoral strategies for individual tauira needs.
- Monitor, manage and report on tauira progress.

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who has the following:

- Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Teaching (Level 4) desirable
- A Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education level 5 (NCALNE)
- 2-4 years experience in an education setting, mentoring, coaching, facilitation or learning support desirable
- Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and āhuatanga Māori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavour
- Full clean New Zealand Drivers Licence and clear Police Vet

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
