**About us**:
Te Wananga o Aotearoa is one of the largest tertiary
education institutions across Aotearoa with over 28,000 tauira (students) and
80 campuses nationwide. Our mission is to achieve whānau transformation through education.

Whakapono, Ngā Ture and Kotahitanga are embedded in and woven through what we
do to achieve successful outcomes for our kaimahi (staff) and tauira (students).

**About the role**:
Do you have a passion for supporting people achieve educational
success? Do you enjoy working autonomously and possess self-managing skills and
qualities?
The role of a
Kaitiaki is to provide assessment services and programme support for our tauira
in the delivery of our Home Based Learning programmes. Our Home Based Learning
programmes enable our tauira to complete their studies from the comfort of
their own home, workplace or nominated location.

Ideally, you will have or in the process of obtaining the

**following qualifications**:
Unit Standard 4098 - Use standards to assess
National Certificate in Adult Literacy and
Numeracy Education (NCALNE) - Level 5
Full Drivers license
An Adult Teaching
Certificate would be an advantage as well as having a sound knowledge of Te Reo
and Tikanga Māori

If you believe, you have the ability to motivate
how your employment experiences can be utilised in fulfilling the
responsibilities of a Kaitiaki at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Vetting is required for this role.
