Traffic Management Coordinator

Our Gisborne office is currently seeking an experienced Traffic Management Coordinator to become an integral member of our Southern Transport Business Group. The role will coordinate access to the state highway corridor on the Network Outcomes Contract (NOC), that confirms to the CoPTTM, along with other Codes to maintain consistency for all parties, including the public road user.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Act as the Traffic Management Coordinator (TMC)
- Prioritising access to the state highway network
- Approving Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) for non-RCA contractual activities on the network
- Approving compliant TMPs
- Refusing to allow any TMP to be implemented where considered to be unsafe or in contravention of CoPTTM, or where reasonable alternatives may exist that may be safer or cause less delay
- Monitoring and auditing traffic management on the network, documenting worksite activities to ensure compliance with CoPTTM
- Processing Carriageway Access Requests (CARs), monitoring and reporting in accordance with contract requirements
- Undertake monthly reporting on activities, audits and any issues that arise
- Customer interactions regarding network management and safety management
- Road safety inspections including attendance of serious and fatal crashes
- Incident response support
- Complete KRA and OPM contract requirements
- TCP plan owner
- Attend Utilities Coordination Meeting
**What you will bring to the team**:
- 6 years relevant experience in roading / road contracting industry
- Network management skills including:
- Knowledge of TMC role
- Positive customer liaison & relationship management
- Knowledge of the CoPTTM
- Knowledge of NOC maintenance works
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Proficient in the use of, Submitica, Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Proficient in ability to scope work
- Ability to work in a team environment
