You will also work with Paediatrics, the Child Development Service, and the Child Health Integrated Response Pathway team who are co-located in the building to support children who require a multi-service approach. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service and the Incredible Years Specialist Service as parts of the broader MICAMHS service also located at Te Waka Aorangi.
The Child Team is committed to evidence-based practice in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention for children and their whānau, as well as providing the necessary ongoing training and supervision to support this. On joining the team, you will also be part of the broader psychology community at Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals, offering monthly psychology journal clubs, supervision, collegial support, and ongoing professional development.
