Tauranga, New Zealand Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Full time

Tauranga based
- Permanent full-time opportunity
- Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) - Adolescent Team

**About the Role**

You will be part of our multi-disciplinary team, working in collaboration with other psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and the community to support Rangatahi and their whānau. Your role will involve psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention for rangatahi in the service.

Our service offers a well-defined pathway for psychological intervention, including psychometric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy. As a clinician here, you'll work with rangatahi experiencing a broad range of challenges—trauma, mental health difficulties, complex family dynamics, and neurodevelopmental conditions—which ensures each day brings diverse and meaningful clinical work. We actively support professional growth through regular hospital-wide forums, offering opportunities for peer support, networking, and shared professional development. Caseloads are carefully monitored according to FTE to keep your workload balanced, sustainable, and rewarding, so you can focus on making a real difference in the lives of young people and their whānau.

At Adolescent Mental Health Services Tauranga, we are passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to rangatahi and their whānau. Our commitment to excellence means you'll benefit from robust training and ongoing supervision to support your clinical practice. A dedicated CPD budget for psychologists empowers you to pursue continuous professional development—locally, nationally, and internationally—so you can remain at the forefront of best practice. We offer regular access to both clinical and peer supervision, and you'll have the opportunity to mentor and supervise others as your experience grows. Join a service that values lifelong learning, invests in your growth, and encourages you to bring your expertise and ideas to a supportive, collaborative team.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Be a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist.
- Have postgraduate training in clinical psychology and other relevant postgraduate training.
- Have experience in the psychological assessment of children/adolescent with a range of mental health presentations alongside experiences of trauma, attachment difficulties, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
