Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our School of Science and contribute to the development and delivery of our Chemistry courses. **Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity** As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in shaping the learning experience for our undergraduate students. You will lead the delivery of engaging laboratory classes, tutorials, and lectures, while contributing to the continuous enhancement of our chemistry curriculum. You will also coordinate and support a team of Teaching Assistants (TAs) to ensure high-quality lab experiences and uphold safety standards. **Nga haepapa matua | Key Responsibilities** - Deliver and evaluate high-quality teaching in Chemistry. - Develop and implement innovative laboratory experiments and assessment strategies. - Provide academic support to students and manage student communication channels. - Coordinate, train, and supervise TAs in chemistry labs. - Undertake academic administration, course moderation, and contribute to programme governance. **He kōrero mōu | About you** What You'll Bring - A minimum of an MSc in Chemistry or a related field. - Experience teaching in tertiary education and/or substantial professional experience. - Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. - A commitment to culturally inclusive teaching practices and student wellbeing. - Passion for science education and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
