Bay of Plenty, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

Permanent, full time
Support those who look after the health of our region. An opportunity with variety, scope and real meaning.
Our more than 1850 talented and dedicated staff believe that working for Te Whatu Ora / Health New Zealand at the Lakes District is pretty great. From the natural wonderland we have on our doorstep, to our modern facilities - a career with the Lakes District ticks all the boxes.
And right now, we have an opportunity for a Human Resources Consultant to join our high performing, supportive team and be an integral part of making the Lakes District even greater.
As an experienced HR practitioner, you'll understand that supporting, growing and developing our staff have huge and very visible benefits for everyone - especially the 110,000+ strong community that we service.
Working across our Rotorua and newly refurbished Taupo hospitals, you'll be responsible for a variety of human resources activities from employee relations and performance management, through to workforce planning and managing union relationships.
Whether you're supporting our wider team with engagement strategies and talent management or delivering HR solutions to managers and employees, everything you do will be aimed at ensuring that the Lakes District delivers the best possible service to our thriving and diverse region.
You'll come to us with a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Employment Law and whilst an understanding of the healthcare environment would be an advantage, it isn't essential.
