**About the role**:
We’re looking for a driven and detail orientated Adviser Support to join our team in
**Christchurch**

The focus of this role is to deliver support to the Life & Health Advisers to ensure our Life & Health clients are appropriately covered to financially survive any insurable event. You will be a trustworthy individual who maintains Life & Health Insurance for Crombie Lockwood customers. With the best client outcomes in mind, you will respond to client enquiries, produce reporting, assist with claims management, group insurance/employee benefits and assist in client retention. For clarity, “Life Insurance” includes all related products (e.g. trauma insurance, income protection, medical insurance) and will also involve group policies set up by the team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Resolve client queries (account and cover queries and policy amendments)
- Assist the Advisers and Operations Manager with the management and administration of new business accounts
- Generate reports on renewals, credit control and claims reports
- Arrange finance agreements, invoicing documentation and prepare and send out annual renewal letters.
- Assist the Advisors with the collection of premiums within the agreed timeframe.
- Provide efficient, helpful service to customers and timely effective settlement of claims.
- Lodge all new claims within 24 business hours of receipt and follow claim guidelines to ensure prompt efficient service for our clients.
- Review open claims every five days as a minimum and take proactive steps to progress every claim toward settlement.
- Provide a simple and seamless process, providing exceptional level of service to customers and maintain complete and accurate records.

**Skills and Experience**
- Customer service experience in insurance or a financial related discipline
- The ability to build and maintain enduring relationships with clients
- A clear understanding of New Zealand insurance policies and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Analytical skills - ability to develop solutions and courses of action and recommend solutions by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause effect relationships
