**Te Haeata/The Opportunity**

**Support Whānau. Strengthen Communities.**

Are you passionate about empowering whānau and tamariki? Do you thrive in roles that blend independence with collaboration? Join our national Kaiārahi team and help transform how families engage with the Family Court and community services.

As a Kaiārahi, you'll be a trusted guide—helping parents and whānau navigate the family justice system with confidence. You'll connect families to the right services at the right time, working closely with iwi, hapū, and community providers to ensure culturally responsive, accessible support.

This is a highly visible, community-based role that involves regular regional travel and flexible hours, including some weekends.

**Do You Prefer Working Alone or in a Team?**

This role requires both. You'll need to be comfortable working independently and managing your own workload, while also collaborating with your regional team and wider networks. Autonomy, self-management, and using your initiative are essential to succeed in this role.

**Ō** pūkenga/Skills and Experience**

We're looking for people who reflect the communities they serve and bring deep understanding, empathy, and initiative.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- strong community engagement and relationship-building
- experience with whānau, hapū, iwi, and diverse communities
- knowledge of Tikanga Māori and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- ability to simplify and communicate complex information
- familiarity with Family Court processes (advantageous)
- full driver's licence and regional travel readiness.
