Graduate Hydraulic Modeller

We have an exciting opening for a graduate hydraulic modeller to support our Auckland based modelling team. We are looking for someone with a focus and interest in data science, innovation and learning new technologies and hydraulics.
Your day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Undertaking hydraulic modelling, building and calibration of wastewater, storm water and water supply models
- Contributing to optioneering/optimisation of design solutions
- Providing technical input for the delivery of outputs from modelling projects
- Working independently, exercising engineering judgment to develop and recommended solutions that meet client expectations and goals
- Progress reporting and client liaison
- Being a part of an internationally connected team that actively pushes the development of digital technology in modelling and engineering design- Relevant degree-level qualification (e.g.: Geography, Mathematics, Information Technology)
- Keen interest in problem solving and hydraulic modelling with a view to improving the environment
- Innovative thinker
- Effective communicator - able to put your ideas across in a logical and coherent fashion in both oral presentations and written reports
- Any professional experience using hydraulic modelling packages (eg: InfoWorks CS / ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller) and GIS software (eg: MapInfo or ArcGIS) is advantageous
