**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Radiation Therapy service is a critical component of Te Pūriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service. The team comprises a complement of over 80 FTE who provide about 48,000 radiation therapy treatments per year to patients in the Northern region. To support this team we have a great opportunity as a Specialist Radiation Therapist - Māori Health.

The role of the Specialist Radiation Therapist - Māori Health is to ensure positive, effective and empowering engagement with Māori patients/whānau that not only improves connections and relationships with Te Pūriri o Te Ora, but also supports patients/whānau to build health knowledge - promoting the ability to assert their rangatiratanga throughout their cancer care. These fixed term positions are based at Auckland City Hospital. We welcome applicants who work part-time and/or are interested in job share arrangements.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

To be considered for these positions, you will have a recognised tertiary qualification in Radiation therapy with MRTB registration and a valid APC and speciality knowledge regarding Māori Health, including proficiency in Te Reo and Tikanga Māori.
