Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced administrator with secretarial skills to work in the community alongside a supportive transdisciplinary team consisting of geriatricians, nursing, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social worker, NASC, Māori connectors and allied health assistants supporting our older population.

This is a new part time role (0.5FTE) and based in Levin. However we envision that this role and the full time role in Palmerston North will support each other as needed. The roles are based in community locations.

The hours of work will be 20 a week between the hours 7.30am - 5pm, preferably Monday to Friday (five days a week). However we are happy to be flexible and would consider four days if this was more suitable to you.

**About You**

This busy role will require you to have excellent communication skills and be a team player. You would also need to have good all-round skills, be able to multi task, and be highly organised.

You will also need to possess the following attributes:

- Proven, high quality and professional customer service skills
- Excellent word processing/data entry skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy and presentation
- Experience with medical terminology would be an advantage as would transcription experience
- Able to work closely with colleagues and the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a busy environment
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines/KPI
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A strong commitment toward quality improvement
- Data base ability and a working knowledge of Excel would be useful.
