Co-Director of Organising

Preferably Tāmaki Makaurau or Te-Whanganui-a-Tara based

Are you a seasoned leader of organisers within the trade union or social justice movement with a deep commitment to growing union power? Are you a proven people leader with the ability to lead, coach and develop managers? And do you have a strength in collaborative working?

That’s just what we are looking for in a co-director.

Mōku te Ao guides our work and we live the values outlined in ngā pou. You will have a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understand how to centre te ao Māori in your work.

We value kanohi te kanohi (face-to-face) and online organising and want to keep refining our online to offline organising. You will ensure clear alignment across all our organising.

This is a big role that involves working with members in governance and leadership roles, and across our office locations. For this reason we are shifting to a model of co-directors, who will negotiate responsibilities together.
