**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

As Fleet Manager, you will provide exceptional support to the end user of Downer NZ Fleet assets.

The role has a strong focus on asset management principles, ensuring our fleet is reliable, available, maintained, compliant, fit for purpose and most importantly - safe.

Key result areas include:

- Develop positive relationships with all end users of Downer Fleet, in addition to providing continuous feedback to the Asset and Hire teams.
- Manage the supply network to create efficiency and ensure that required outcomes are delivered by third parties.
- Asset Management of our Fleet.
- Regular review of the performance of assets.
- Promote asset safety, quality, environmental, sustainability, and productivity best practice.
- Lead by example, driving Zero Harm through operational excellence.

You will ideally have:

- Very strong negotiation skills.
- Good communication skills and an ability to forge strong, positive relationships.
- Organised and systematic approach to working environment.
- A positive / proactive work ethic.
- Team player
- Computer literacy
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and driving innovation Delegations.

The following Qualifications and / or Work Experience will be beneficial for this role:

- Relevant drivers’ licences.
- Experience of managing an extensive equipment fleets or trade background.
- Proven track record in developing successful relationships with customers and major Suppliers.
- Clear understanding of positive leadership behaviours and strong and successful collaborative relationships with peers in a corporate environment.
