This is a seriously unique opportunity Picturesque grounds by the beach, an engaged board that is excited to drive the business forward with future capital projects, and exciting growth plans. This is a **part time** role across three days a week for an experienced accounting professional that can be shaped to suit your lifestyle, with full flexibility to work from home This dream opportunity is available due to the imminent retirement of the current, longstanding incumbent who is now ready to pass the baton.

As the Business Manager of this small Property and Tourism business, you’ll be charged with the growth, resourcing, and strategy as well as the management and oversight of the operations team. Additionally, a future focused lens on asset management and upgrade planning is required.

Key Areas of Accountability
- Standard monthly and annual accounts, forecasting, cashflow and reporting to the board.
- Managing legal risks and compliance - ensuring advice is sought and the board is consulted where appropriate.
- Robust, transparent and regular communications with shareholders that ensure positive relationships are fostered and maintained.
- Supporting the board with AGM preparations (agendas, reporting, communications).
- An appropriate qualification and experience in accounting (CA/CPA preferred).
- The ability to travel to the park in Auckland’s north to ensure familiarity with the environment, challenges, and a strong relationship with the Operations Manager that reports directly into the role.
- Experience working with Xero is preferred.
- Previous experience managing Capital Investments, investigating feasibility, and procuring contracts.
- A visionary, inspired and forward thinking approach - with a solutions focused and continuous improvement mindset.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - there are a number of shareholders with strong interest in the performance of the business overall.
