If you have a passion for hands-on work and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in road maintenance, we have the perfect job for you We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team and assist the Road Maintenance Foreperson in maintaining the road network in Napier.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the maintenance and repair of roads, culverts, and drainage systems
- Operate and maintain construction machinery, with training provided if necessary
- Conduct pavement and footpath maintenance, including pothole repairs, crack sealing, and shovel repairs
- Handle non-structural bridge maintenance and participate in sweeping, litter collection, and tree trimming
- Be available for on-call duty for after-hours incident response and receive an on-call allowance

**Requirements**:

- Preferably with road maintenance industry experience
- Hold a traffic management qualification be willing to obtain one
- Possess a Full Class 1 license, a Class 2 license is a plus
- Be a reliable, honest, and dedicated team player
- Have knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in road maintenance.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety for yourself, your colleagues, and the public
