We are looking for an Operations Support/school bus driver. Reporting to the Depot Manager, you take a Team Leader approach to provide operational support to the Wairarapa Operations based in Masterton. You will also be required to drive a school run from time to time.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Assisting the Depot Manager by taking a Team Leader approach. You will help manage and guide a team of employees.
- Ensuring that drivers are given effective induction training for their vehicles and assigned routes, according to Company policies.
- Assisting with communication around health and safety updates and instruction to drivers.
- Assisting with response to driver incident reporting.
- Assisting with the execution of vehicle service schedule movements requirements, breakdown and incident management, control of yard and facilities
- Assisting with prep and recovery of morning/afternoon shift operations. This will include opening and lockup of the yard in rotation with the manager.
- Driving and recording route information, as a relief driver, as required.
- Assisting the Depot Manager with preparation for Ministry of Education and other external audits as directed.
- Use of initiative to give advice and implementation of process improvement for operational efficiency.
- Driving duties as required.

**What you need**:

- Class 1 & 2 Licence
- P Endorsement
- 1-2 years’ experience in the passenger service industry as a driver or a supervisor

- Communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Ability to build and develop key relationships.

- Remains calm under pressure.
- Positive attitude, intuitive and attention the detail.
- Computer Literacy.
- Team player.
