**Description**:
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to shape and build our IT offerings to staff, including local infrastructure, cloud resources and staff hardware. You will need to be equally comfortable in the technical space and working directly with our leadership at the CFO/CEO level. You will be working within and enhancing our governance with our Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework based Azure architecture.
**Skills and Experiences**:
What do you need?
Technical Skills
- A computer science or related engineering degree is required or equivalent industry experience
- Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends especially if that understanding is in Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of cloud governance technologies for cost management and control
- Understanding of common Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, Endpoint Manager, Windows Deployment Services
- Technical experience in enterprise identity, and access control, and security solutions
- Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: PowerShell, Bash,.NET, Java
- Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices, including automation, continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and continuous integration methodologies
- Deep understanding of cloud-based Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery practices
- Experience helping users with the hardware and software problems and challenges
Non-technical Skills
Energised by building great working relationships
Proven track record building deep technical relationships with senior team members
Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through
Prior work experience in a consulting/architecture position within a software and services company
Creative problem-solving mentality - energised by looking for solutions
A clear and understandable verbal and written communication style
Happy to muck in with a team to share tasks and workload to keep the team humming
