**About the Role**

We have a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and has the ability to motivate and support our Tangata Whaiora to engage in activities on the wards and in the community.

Maaori are significantly over represented across our service therefore you will need to have an understanding of inequity for Maaori. Being able to work with Maaori across all levels is essential to this role, so together we can achieve better outcomes for Maaori.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

Puna Taunaki and Puna Whiti comprise of three stand-alone units situated on Waikato Hospital campus consisting of 15 beds between them.

All three units are aligned, sharing the same resources and have a focus on developing skills to maximise independence and social inclusion

**About you**
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience working in a health care setting
- Passion for making a difference to the lives of our tangata whaiora and whanau
- Motivation and drive
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills
- A current full NZ driver’s license
