Opotiki District Bay of Plenty, New Zealand Dervock Orchard Full time

We are currently looking for seasonal workers to assist with bud/fruit thinning and canopy work on our families kiwifruit orchard. We have a strong history of employing local as well as seasonal staff when required.

This job will last around 6 weeks and require no previous experience however prior work exp in kiwifruit would be a bonus. The work is physical and involves spending long periods on your feet, the canopy is approximately 1.75m high so shorter persons will be required to use lifted walking shoes which are provided.

Adequate breaks and enough time to stretch and re-fuel is essential, and our company provides additional paid break times above regular government set regulated breaks.

There may also be additional work available later in summer.

Our orchard is located on State Highway 35, 5km from the Opotiki township and is adjacent Hukuwai beach. There is affordable accommodation on site with full amenities as well as the possibility of accommodation in the centre of the town. The accommodation on site overlooks the beach and is a 5 minute walk down the road on to the beach, this is priced at $200/week and has limited availability.
