**Cabinetmaker Wanted** **Work Location**: Auckland Region **Employment type**: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week, Monday to Saturday), Permanent role **Our pay**: $32.00-$38.00 per hour depending on skills and experience We are a kitchen manufacturing company based in Auckland. We are now looking for 1 Cabinetmaker to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company. **Tasks you may carry out**: - Studying design plans and drawings to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures - Selecting timbers and other materials, and preparing layouts - Measuring and cutting materials to the right size and shape - Preparing and assembling the wood parts to make cabinet furniture or form sections of build-in furniture - Erecting and installing cabinets, drawers, shelves and boards - Fitting and repairing hardware, such as hinges, locks and catches - Refurbishing and repairing the existing wood furniture and fittings - Maintain and clean company power tools and equipment - Ensuring that all activities undertaken are compliant with related regulations - Prompt reporting of equipment defects and damage to management **To be successful you will need to**: - Have at least two years solid relevant experience in the same industry/field, or - At least a relevant level 4 qualification or above, can be equivalent overseas qualification - Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions - Be physically fit and willingness to work hard - Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively - Have "can-do" attitude Our goal is to inspire people more than managing them.
