We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor / Dispatcher to join our Palmerston North team. This role will be responsible for leading all operations staff to achieve quality service standards and safe work practices. You will also manage our trucking resources effectively to transport customer freight as required in full on time at an acceptable cost to the company.

**What you'll do**
- Ensure that a superior service is provided to both internal and external customers.
- Accurate management reporting and a high level of financial results are achieved through utilisation of all appropriate resources.
- Work with all the transport staff to maximize the performance of the business to meet and exceed the customer’s and company’s expectations.
- Assist the Branch Manager with transport and operations business administration.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager
- Dispatching oversight and assistance.
- Operate the forklifts loading and unloading of freight when required.
- Oversight and assistance with the sorting, checking of freight including parcels
- Ensuring customer deliveries occur on time.

**What you'll need**
- Excellent communicative and organisational skills
- Knowledge of Transport/Logistics, Marketing and Sales
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Freight operations
- NZCE or other tertiary qualification
- Computer and Microsoft Office Skills (Intermediate)
- Clean Class 1 NZ Drivers License essential
