The Opportunity
We are growing and changing We have an exciting new role for an outstanding individual to lead food development and compliance activities for our national specialist Epicure catering business. A great opportunity to make your mark and influence the future of Epicure.
This key role will work closely with the operational teams to shape, develop and support implementation of food/catering development and support operational performance improvement initiatives. This will be achieved through effective business processes and procedures, targeted business development initiatives, performance improvement and customer experience projects and supporting people development in support of our strategic objectives.
You will also facilitate ensuring that we are compliant meeting regulatory requirements for Food Safety and Liquor Licensing, managing the Epicure relationship with MPI and the appointed Food Safety Auditors and maintain strong relationships with the Liquor Licensing Authority, Police and Health unit, and other stakeholders.
This role can be based Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch. There will some national travel to work with our people and stakeholders where they are.
**In this role you will**:
Support operations teams achieving delivery at or above the required standards and contract KPI’s.
Develop and introduce new business initiatives to the Epicure operations teams that support a culture of continuous business improvement.
Provide relevant training and support to the Epicure business units to support achieving mandatory compliance and operational excellence training.
Engage and influence operations teams to in a manner that achieves the strategic operational, commercial and financial outcomes. Develop a supportive and trusting relationship with the operational teams, agencies and key suppliers.
Contribute to the development of Epicure market strategies and tactics.
Engaging and influencing key stakeholders to achieve the agreed, operational, commercial and financial outcomes.
Managing maintenance and updates of policies, systems and procedures in the areas of food safety.
**You will likely have experience with**:
4 years + multi-site operational systems and process development combined with coaching and training experience in a hospitality food service and/or food production related environment.
Several years practical experience with the requirements of food safety and site food safety plans within a similar environment combined with strong knowledge of food safety auditing standards.
A working knowledge of liquor licensing requirements and legislation would be advantageous.
Preference and experience working in fast paced, highly competitive and commercial environment.
Desirable to hold a tertiary qualification in a related discipline e.g. business management, operations management, hospitality management, food safety
