This is an opportunity to be a part of an exciting growth area and provide mental health support for older adults experiencing physical health issues, who require rehabilitation

Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) serves the central Auckland population of adults aged over 65 who experience acute mental illness or behavioral or psychological difficulties associated with dementia.
Mana Awhi - Older Peoples' Health is a service with a holistic focus on the health of older people which includes inpatient physical health care for people over 65 years.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
In this role you will be based on the Auckland City Hospital site. This will include consultation, assessment, management support and education to patients, families and clinicians within the four Mana Awhi wards. You will be supported by a part time MHSOP Consultant Psychiatrist and be part of the MHSOP service.
The role includes supporting the ECT service and there will be an opportunity to be involved in the establishment of the new TMS service

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will already be working to the top of your scope as a mental health nurse within the speciality practice area of older adult. Along with your Level Four PDRP and on-going engagement in professional development this is your chance to move into an advanced nursing practice role.
You will be a registered nurse with speciality scope of practice in mental health nursing with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
