**About the Role**

As a valued Health Care Assistant (HCA), you'll play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy outpatient facilities at Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals. Other areas in Wellington hospital you will work out of are Te Wai Nui (Children's Hospital) and Clinical Measurement Unit (CMU). Our service is dynamic, patient-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality care across a wide range of specialist clinics.

You - ll be rostered across different areas of the outpatient service, working one of the following shifts:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

This flexibility helps us meet patient needs while supporting your work-life balance.

As an HCA, you - ll work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) as well as other clinical staff. Nurses may delegate tasks that don - t require professional nursing judgment, and you - ll always have guidance and supervision available when needed. You may also be assigned service-related duties that help keep our clinics running smoothly.

Training and support will be provided to ensure you feel confident and capable in your role, with clear expectations and ongoing learning opportunities

Your professional growth matters. You - ll have the opportunity to give and receive feedback during your annual performance appraisal with your manager. This is a great time to reflect on your achievements and set goals for the future.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

We are a multicultural team working in an inclusive and supportive environment. While we collaborate closely as a team, our roles involve a high level of autonomy, as we coordinate and manage the day to day running of the department. We are a crucial link in the patient journey, from their initial referral from the community to their eventual discharge back into it.

This role is based primarily at Wellington Hospital with the possibility of working at Kenepuru Hospital as service needs arise.

- Possesses solid computer proficiency and knowledge of FPIM ordering system preferable.
- Efficiently marshals and utilizes resources.
- Highly organized, punctual, and adept at problem-solving.
- Shows genuine interest in the organization and is committed to sustainability
- Level 4 Health Care worker certificate or equivalent
- On Merit steps or working towards merit steps
