**The Role**

**Success Profile**
- Previous gardening experience essential, a tertiary qualification in Horticulture desirable
- Proven experience in operating small plant machinery such as chainsaws
- Knowledge of maintenance activities such as irrigation control, arboriculture, lawn management and pest control are desired
- Excellent communication skills, coupled with a can do attitude
- Must be physically fit and able to regularly lift weights greater than 20kg
- Willingness to learn new tasks and develop horticultural knowledge
- Self-driven with an ability to work independently
- Great time management skills
- Relevant horticulture qualification would be advantageous
- NZ Drivers Licence desirable

**Location**:Arrowtown, Queenstown

**Hours**:Full time permanent or fixed-term (30/40 hours per week guaranteed)

**Pay Banding**:$26.00 - $30.00 gross per hour depending on experience

**Describe to the day-to-day role of a landscape gardener'**

The role is filled with variety, this includes monitoring the health of all plants and gardens, either private or common. We water and feed plants as well as trimming trees, shrubs and hedges to ensure they meet our 5-star standard. The role involves weeding the gardens around and keeping the green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter. We collaborate on creating new flower beds and gardens across the resort.

Working in a 5-star resort and having a supportive environment. You will be working Monday - Friday and there is the opportunity to qualify and study horticulture which is exciting.
