To help us achieve this we are looking for a **Senior Dev Ops Engineer**with a good understanding of modern Agile development.

This role will see you working within an Agile team developing, configuring, testing, implementing, and documenting innovative solutions to common problems our DevOps squads are having; and creating and maintaining Github Actions CI/CD pipelines targeting AWS.

**Technical Skills**:

- Incident Management & Support: Experience with incident and problem management processes, production support environments, and after-hours support.
- Agile/SAFE Experience: Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), participation in Agile ceremonies, and understanding of SAFE methodologies.
- Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with AWS, DevOps practices and tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Cloud Development Kit, Terraform), and Atlassian tools (Opsgenie, JIRA, Statuspage).
- Monitoring and Observability: Experience with tools like New Relic, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and understanding of observability principles.
- Development Knowledge: Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Typescript, Java, Python), modern CI/CD pipelines, and backend/database monitoring.

**Soft Skills**:

- Communication & Collaboration: Ability to engage with large groups, proficiency with collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, Confluence), and strong upward communication skills.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and interpret monitoring data.
- Team Dynamics: Assertive and collaborative team player, able to handle stress and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.

**Domain-Specific Skills**:

- Release and Deployment Management: Experience with frequent deployments and understanding of deployment vs. release practices.
- Customer-Centric Observability: Ability to design and implement user experience metrics and trace transactions across systems.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Experience working in an ITIL framework environment.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting to reduce manual operational overhead.

**The expected appointing range for this role is between $130,000 to $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience.**
