We have exciting plans for growth and innovation as we are now part of the global CAE group. **ABOUT THE ROLE**: This position will work closely with Development teams and Cloud Ops to implement and automate systems, architecture, builds and environments. They will drive automation efforts across the organization utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration Management, and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) tools. **WHAT YOU’LL DO**: - Work alongside architecture teams to make recommendations on DevOps practices and toolchains. - Provide best practices, recommendations, and guidance for CI/CD. - Automate the deployment, administration, and operation of Merlot’s infrastructure so no manual intervention is needed - Design and build tools to improve deployment efficiency and system monitoring. - Contribute to the architecture and design of our services, infrastructure and delivery processes. - Collaborate effectively with multiple development teams, providing them support for the automation tooling and services within the DevOps toolchain. - Maintain clear and regular communication with relevant Merlot stakeholders. **ABOUT YOU**: - Relevant computer science or the equivalent bachelor’s degree - 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer in a DevOps environment - At least 2+ years of working with Microsoft cloud and development technology stacks - Knowledgeable in DevOps best practices and toolchains - Skilled at scripting and other forms of programming using C#, PowerShell, Python, etc. - Good understanding of relational database concepts - Solid experience with key DevOps technologies including Docker, as well as DevOps experience in Azure, including Hybrid, Serverless, IaaS, Automation, and tools for CI/CD services. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Experience in.Net Development is a plus - Experience working in an iterative based development environment using Agile/SCRUM is a plus **JOINING OUR TEAM**: - Innovative New Zealand software story headquartered from fantastic central Ponsonby location - Great culture with strong values **Position Type** Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
