We are looking for a junior level Graphic Designer to join this company specialising in Lighting Design, located in Auckland.
You will be reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer and CEO. Working as part of the design team, coordinating with the industrial and lighting designers. The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and advertising assets; maintaining a library of promotional materials. This is a diverse role where you will get to hone your craft, providing ideas and end-to-end design solutions.
**Core role objectives & responsibilities**:

- Create develop and maintain a cohesive, engaging, and distinct branding presence
- Monitor adherence to branding and design policy in all marketing material
- Create and maintain current marketing and advertising assets and facilitate with print vendors the completion to a high standard (working with external designers if required)
- Improve online marketing presence via the company website and a range of professional marketing sites and social media including but not limited to 3rd Party sites
- Work with our local and international sales team to identify and resolve marketing packaging and installation information solutions to best present the brands
- Maintaining the company websites
- Work with packaging vendors to create engaging product-worthy packaging that gives the recipient a sense of quality and sustainability
- Understand the business and product range, marketing materials and business jargon, the unique point of difference and products/services
- Organizing and implementing, events, displays, fit outs with a flair for interior/exterior design

**Skills Required**:

- An eye for design
- Strong written English and attention to detail
- Photoshop - Clear-cut knowledge and strong editing skills
- InDesign - Layout and templating knowledge with copywriting skills
- Illustrator - Illustration and technical knowledge (specifications, product icons, installation and renders)

**Bonus Skills**:

- Knowledge of other Adobe programs is a benefit; Premiere, Lightroom, After Effects etc
- 3D knowledge (Sketchup, Blender or other 3D modelling programs)
- Front-end Web Design (Html, CSS)
- Copywriting
- Photography and videography
- Packaging and dielines knowledge

**Product Knowledge**:

- Maintain a level of technical knowledge and provide assistance where required
- Maintain the product photograph library on the company Digital Asset Systems
- Checking products for use as samples for function, quality, and user experience
