Our client is a medium-sized land development consultancy and they are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their Manukau office. The organisation has a strong portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial projects, and is now seeking experienced talent as it enters a new phase of growth.

**About the role**
In this role, you’ll assist the senior engineers in the development of designs for a variety of land development projects.

As a Civil Design Engineer, you’ll take on civil engineering design and the preparation of drawings, while adhering to the company’s CAD standards and internal quality procedures. You’ll also be responsible for preparing schedules, contract documentation, resource consents and other documents relating to civil engineering and other projects. Drawing on your robust interpersonal skills, you’ll liaise with internal teams, contractors and Auckland Council as required.

**Project work typically encompasses**:

- Earthworks design and management
- Land development engineering
- Roading, footpaths and accessways

**About you**
You’re an experienced Civil Design Engineer with strong 12d skills. With your strong technical skills and can-do attitude, you love a good challenge and enjoy coming up with creative design solutions to complex problems. You’re a team player and know how to communicate effectively with internal teams and external consultants to ensure a successful project outcome.

**What we’re looking for**
- A relevant qualification (BEng or NZCE)
- Minimum of 4 years’ civil engineering experience
- Experience in land development and subdivision design
- Proficiency in 12d.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
