Smart Pack is NZ's specialist bag and sack supplier providing packaging solutions to primary industry sectors through trusted advice and relationships their customers rely on.
As the Finance Officer for Smart Pack, the key purpose of this role is to provide cover to our Finance Manager whilst they are on maternity leave, for a 10-month period.
We are looking for an experienced financial professional to be responsible for a range of financial services with a specific focus on leading and completing the accounts receivable and payable, budget and forecasting, and management accounts.
Reporting to the Director, the role also requires oversight of business processes, financial systems and responsibility for job costing functions and reporting.
You will take a proactive approach to all accounting tasks required to ensure the company's values are adhered to by offering great customer services, showing integrity and outcomes focussed.
**Core Responsibilities/Duties**
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Cash Forecasting
- Monthly management accounts
- Processing GST, RWT and Provisional tax requirements
- Debt Collection/Credit Control
- Asset Management
- Bank reconciliation
- Periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances.
- Delivering a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience. You will have a meticulous approach to financial matters and an ability to multi-task and operate at both strategic and operational levels. Confidentiality is extremely important and you would be comfortable working autonomously with the goal of being committed to getting the job done.
You'll also be a leading applicant if you have:
- Proven experience as a finance officer or similar role
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid communication both written and oral
- Outstanding analytical and time management skills
- Intermediate experience of the Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
- Prior experience with Infusion and Xero highly beneficial
At Smart Pack, you will be required to work 30 hours per week, with flexibility being offered in the day-to-day hours worked for the ideal person.
