If you have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for the food service industry, we would love to hear from you **Vacancy Details** Job Title: Cooks Location: Wellington Employment Type: Permanent & Full-time Days required: Monday to Sunday Hours per week: A minimum of 30 hours a week guaranteed, a maximum of 40 hours a week Number of Vacancies**:Two** **Key tasks & responsibilities** - Prepares, seasons and cooks food. - examining foodstuffs to ensure quality; - regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment; - preparing and cooking food; - seasoning food during cooking; - portioning food, placing it on plates or containers, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes; - storing food in temperature controlled facilities; - preparing food to meet special dietary requirements; - plan menus and estimate food requirements together with other kitchen staff; - train new kitchen staff. **To be right for this role and our organisation, you need**: - Relevant qualification (NZ Level 4 or higher) or at least 3 years experience in a comparable role can substitute the qualification requirement - Adaptable to change and able to multi-task - Able to work under pressure - Be reliable and responsible - A passion for delivering good experiences to customers **Benefits** - Great working environment with a friendly team - A reputable company that truly values what you contribute - Good pay from $25 to $27 per hour **Please note your visa status in the cover letter or CV if you are not an NZ Citizen or Resident, or if you need our assistance in getting a visa.** If you feel this job is the right fit for you, please upload your CV with a cover letter by clicking "APPLY" now
