He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an emerging career occupational therapist to join our Medical services team on a part time permanent basis.
This role has arisen due to a vacancy within the service - the applicant will need to cover a weekend day as part of normal hours of work.
In time this will form part of a weekend roster working one weekend day every 6 to 8 weeks approximately.
This role is varied and offers the opportunity to improve the wellbeing of patients journeying through previous and new health conditions including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, stroke, general medical and frailty conditions.
You will work alongside the Clinical Lead OTs, Advanced Rotators and Allied Health Assistants to ensure excellent service delivery whilst having the opportunity to grow your toolkit of transdisciplinary knowledge.
He Korero mōu - About You
- Exemplary interpersonal skills
- Experience in a hospital setting working on acute wards is preferred but not essentail
- A current Annual Practising Certificate
- Passion and a drive to make a real difference through your work and have a strong cultural awareness
- A willingness to work alongside other Allied Health clinicians and leaders to help shape this new service
- A drive to uphold our Manaakitanga CARE values which are at the heart of who we are and how we serve our community
